Description
Product Overview
Not all parts of a court wear evenly. Baselines, service boxes, and net approaches take far more traffic, and that’s exactly where infill compacts and fibres flatten. The Infill Pro Sweep’s premium polypropylene bristles are firm enough to break up compaction and move sand where you need it, with the extra-long timber handle keeping you working upright.
At 45cm wide, it’s the precision tool that complements your full-court grooming equipment.
3 Key Benefits
- Stiff polypropylene bristles: firm enough to move compacted infill and stand fibres upright in high-wear zones – not just glide over the surface like a softer broom
- Extra-long timber handle: comfortable upright working position with enough leverage to work compacted areas without bending or crouching
- Targeted 45cm width: ideal for focused infill redistribution in specific wear zones that a wider groomer can’t concentrate on
What’s included
- 1 x Infill Pro Sweep (45cm head, extra-long timber handle)
Note: bristles are supplied in either black or blue at random; specific colour requests cannot be accommodated.
Suitable for: Sand-filled synthetic grass courts, high-wear zones including baseline, service box, and net approach areas.
How to Use
01
Identify the wear zone – look for areas where infill has compacted, fibres are lying flat, or the surface feels harder underfoot than surrounding areas
02
Position and grip – stand facing the area with both hands on the handle; the long handle gives you leverage without crouching
03
Push, never pull – push the broom firmly forward; the resistance you feel is the bristles working through compacted infill and standing fibres up
04
Brush toward the wear zone – move sand from surrounding areas into the depleted high-traffic spots using short, overlapping push strokes
05
Finish with a full-court sweep – follow up with the Double Handle Broom or Aussie Clean Sweep to level the whole surface and collect any loosened debris
Tip: If regular redistribution with the stiff broom isn’t fully restoring surface level in worn-out areas, it may be time to top up with fresh Synthetic Grass Sand. Infill migrates permanently over time and brushing can only do so much.
Specifications – Infill Pro Sweep
Safety
- Always push the broom – dragging backwards can catch fibres and cause surface damage
- Keep your back straight and use leg drive when applying firm pressure to avoid back strain
- The Infill Pro Sweep are designed for synthetic turf; avoid use on bare concrete or hard surfaces where rapid bristle wear will occur
- Store dry; extended exposure to standing water can affect timber handle integrity

FAQs
Why stiff bristles rather than soft?
Soft bristles tend to glide over compacted infill rather than engage with it. Stiff polypropylene bristles apply the pressure needed to actually move sand and push flattened fibres back to vertical – especially in the high-traffic areas where the infill has been tamped down.
What colour bristles will I receive?
Either black or blue – supplied at random. Both perform identically; we can’t accommodate requests for a specific colour.
How is this different from the Double Handle Broom?
The Double Handle Broom is a 183cm-wide groomer for fast full-court coverage. The Stiff Bristle Broom is a narrower (45cm) precision tool for targeted spot work. Use both for comprehensive maintenance.
Can I use this on clay courts?
It’s designed primarily for synthetic grass infill. For clay, the Double Handle Broom or a dedicated clay rake is more appropriate.
How often should I use it?
In high-traffic zones like the baseline, a weekly spot-groom keeps infill from migrating too far. Monthly targeted work in visible wear areas is a solid baseline for a regularly used court.
